This natural toner has tons of good organic ingredients like aloe vera, witch hazel, tea tree oil and chamomile just to name a few. The smell is ok. I am used to tea tree oil smell so if you are used to strong scent the smell might not bother you as much. This was for my teen boy who is just learning to shave and I wanted something that can be antibacterial and prevent bumps. Now this is a very expensive after shave most likely won't repurchase if its similar to cheaper ones. I do like the ingredients so time will tell how his skin reacts.
I been getting some stuff for my husband and he finally liked this aftershave. My husband isbreally picky on what he puts on his face. He like this one and said it actually helped, left his face feeling smooth and not irritated. And i like this has no scent. Some products have such a strong scent this one doesnt.
I’m one of the unfortunate few that needs after-shaves and balms to soothe a razor burned face but can’t stand the scent 99% of the ones current sold. This leaves me with balms that are often oily and do more damage than good by clogging pores.
And, more often than not, I have to chase the unscented balms with a minor amount of after-shave just for social events.
Enter this brand from “Imagine the Great Designs” (yes, the bottle may say Solomon but the company’s name is just as I highlighted). Read their corporate history via the Amazon page for an interesting history.
Beyond the obvious, this is a mid-priced, gel-based after shave that, depending upon your definition, might be called a balm.
In fact, it applies that way. Put a small amount on your fingertips and rub it in. After a minor amount of time making sure it’s absorbed, your skin is left cool and, hopefully, softer.
Did it work? Yes, sort of. It went on quite easily and a couple fingertip dabs did the trick for my whole face.
Did it soothe? Sure did. No issue there. If I had any razor burn prior to usage I definitely didn’t have any afterwards.
How about cooling? Nope, sorry. But, to the fair, no balm or gel I’ve ever used actually cools. That’s the job of the alcohol based aftershaves.
Finally, is it unscented. Most definitely yes; however, there is a distinct musty scent just prior to application that smells vaguely of the bottle plastic. It disappears within a second, but just to give you a warning.
Overall, this is a good gel based aftershave but it is a bit on the pricey side.
My son says he loves this. Said it cooled the stinging sensation in his face without any sting or burning. There is a light fragrance. It’s a very small bottle but it’s a good product. We like that the ingredients are all organic.
